The Firm's Philosophy
Stephanie L. Schneider and her team are dedicated to providing compassionate quality services to seniors, young adults and persons with disabilities (of all ages). We work with families who have loved ones with special needs, and domestic partners. Our firm takes a holistic approach to providing elder law services to ensure that the client's legal, social, psychological, medical and financial needs are met as they age. This is accomplished by working with other professionals such as geriatric care managers, social workers, support coordinators, financial planners, accountants, psychologists, and medical professionals.
Services are provided with compassion, respect and commitment. We specialize in:

with disabilities of any age
- Representation family members and professional guardians
in adult and minor guardianships
- Probating estates and administering trusts
- Estate planning
- Long term care planning and asset protection
- Finding exceptions to Medicaid lien recovery

Certification assures the public that the attorney has substantial experience and has demonstrated special knowledge and proficiency in certified areas of practice and professionalism and ethics in the practice of law.
Our Staff
Stephanie L. Schneider, Board Certified Elder Law Attorney, opened the Law Office of Stephanie L. Schneider PA in November 2004.

Originally from New Jersey, Stephanie is a graduate of Nova
Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law School Center, where
she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1991. While in law school,
Stephanie was invited to write onto Law Review and successfully
completed a competition that entitled her to become a member
of Moot Court. Prior to attending law school, she received a
Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a major in Psychology, from Rutgers
University in New Jersey .
Stephanie is a former Chair of The Florida Bar's Elder Law Section. During
her many years of service on the Executive Committee of the Elder Law Section,
Stephanie was instrumental in advocating and educating legislators about elder
issues. She was the 110th attorney to be certified nationally by the National
Elder Law Foundation in 1997. She became board certified in Elder Law by the
Florida Bar in 1998.
Stephanie is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Florida Bar, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers , and the Broward County Trial Lawyer Association.
Stephanie speaks locally and nationally about elder law issues for professionals, members of the judiciary, municipal and community organizations. She has developed continuing education programs for legal, health care and financial professionals, including a Florida Bar approved continuing legal education program and an approved continuing education units program for CPAs.
Stephanie resides with her family in Plantation. She is admitted
to practice by the Florida Bar and the United States District
Court - Southern District of Florida.

At the firm Flo has specialized in the areas of guardianship (for minors and incapacitated adults) and probate. A Brooklyn native, Flo spent many years in physical therapy/chiropractic supply sales before emigrating with her family to Florida. Ms. Koplo received her Associate of Science in Legal Studies from Broward Community College in 1986 and earned her certification as a Paralegal. Flo brings an extensive background and knowledge in various areas of business and law to our practice. Besides cultivating her relationships with our clients and colleagues, Flo enjoys cultivating orchids and gardening, reading, theater, music, and keeping up with her grandchildren.

D. Wilson, Certified Legal Assistant, joined
Stephanie L. Schneider, P.A. in August 2006.
A Florida native, Yvette began her career as a Legal Secretary/Word
Processor in Eustis. After forays into real estate (word processor)
and underground recovery operations (office manager), Yvette
returned to school to obtain an Associates degree in Legal
Assisting and a Bachelors in Business Administration. In February
1995, she earned the respected designation of Certified Legal
Assistant. Yvette and her husband, David, moved to south Florida
in October 2004. After working for an attorney/CPA/financial
planner, Yvette joined Stephanie L. Schneider, P.A. to return
to her first love – elder law, probate and guardianship.

Kathleen Russo, Certified Legal Assistant, joined Stephanie L. Schneider, P.A. in l999.
At the firm she has specialized in the areas of special needs trust, government benefits (Medicaid and Social Security), and estate planning. Kathy has a degree in Business Administration from Brooklyn College , as well as an Associates Degree in Legal Assisting from Broward Community College . She has been certified by the National Association of Legal Assistance. Her legal experience includes elder law, real estate, personal injury and litigation.

Myrna came to Florida as a young child and graduated from
North Miami H.S. After several years in New York, she returned
home to Florida with her young family. Ms. Hambro was the
Office Manager at a medical office for 20 years, where she
was responsible for insurance and billing. She migrated into
the legal field when she joined our firm, where her outgoing
personality and accounting skills make her an asset to the
practice dealing with clients and all aspects of practice
management. Myrna enjoys traveling, reading and spending time
with her wonderful grandchildren.

A New York native, Hillary started her career in sales in
the financial data services industry selling SEC filings information
and online services to major investment banks and law firms
in the Northeast, Chicago and Toronto for 16 years. She migrated
into the litigation and courtroom technology arena in 1998
with a Long Island, NY based company, and moved to Florida
as the Southeast Regional Manager in 2000. Prior to joining
Stephanie L Schneider P.A., Hillary was a Law Firm Marketing
Representative with the Daily Business Review, div. of American
Lawyer Media and Marketing Manager at a Defense Law Firm. She
is a member of the Legal Marketing Association. Hillary and
her family live in Hollywood .
